Recipes That Start in the Garden, Not the Pantry

Most recipes assume you're standing in a grocery store aisle. These don't. Every video here starts with what's actually growing in a backyard vegetable garden — not a curated pantry of ingredients bought for the shoot — and builds a real dish around it, the way a chef would if the only ingredients on hand were whatever was ready to pick that day.

That's the whole point: a garden only pays off if you know what to do with what it gives you. A basket of tomatoes, a handful of basil, more zucchini than one household should ever grow — these videos are the "now what" answer, built by someone who's spent time on both sides of this problem: growing the produce, and knowing what to do with it once it's in the kitchen.

No recipe here assumes a trip to the store first. If it's not something you'd realistically be pulling out of a suburban backyard garden, it's not on this list.
